To foster association, alliance, and access for student success through a partnership of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and community organizations dedicated to the sustainability and growth of HBCUs and African American males in pursuit of higher education.
Why the HBCU Promise? To challenge and destroy the status quo around the conversation about the value of African American boys as we guide them to African American manhood.

Our Impact
Each year we're committed to helping over 1,000 Black males become enrolled at an HBCU. While we primarily work with high schoolers in the Western region of the United States, we assist students across the country.

The numbers are alarming. We’re the change.
Black students suspended/expelled from public schools are THREE TIMES more likely to be in the criminal justice system the NEXT YEAR. At The HBCU Promise, our program directly impacts this statistic and helps to break the cycle.
Our students are placed around resources that put them in the best position to by-pass this crisis successfully.
